Guiding Principle: Deconstruct the tools social media content & subscription platforms use to capture viewer attention. Specific attention on the “ detritus” content i.e Split Form videos, AI content, Shock Content, Marketing Emails, Pop Ups

Emotional principle: Social Media fuels a crushing feeling as we are told we are ”in the dark” or “less than”. Combat the draining activities of Smart features and Subscription models.
Step 1: Physical Installation-

<Paintings>/: Scenes based on “Poor Charlie's Almanack: The Essential Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger” with embedded QR Codes superimposed into the paintings. These QR codes will drive audiences to websites containing activities and barriers listed in step 2

Step 2: Online/Digital Spaces-

{2a}//<Survey>/: A Satire of personality tests used by employers such as DiSC, Big Five, and Caliper. A fictional survey will be created that will generate a personality type and various aptitude indexes. Surveys will be unique to the painting QR code.

{2b}//<Microsites>/:Based on the result of the personality tests viewers will be given access a pre-selected micro website.

Websites will satire common digital nuisance such as: Interactive Glitches, Cookie Consent forms, ”Smart Features” that make using a tool impossible, Pop-Up notifications.

- {2c}//<Pay Wall>/: A satire of the Subscription model, which seem to dominate contemporary consumer services, at the end of each microsites activities users will run into a paywall asking for a fake currency to continue doing tasks from the website.
- Once they paywall has been reached users will have the option to opt out of payment by downloading a game app that will generate credits based on various activities.
- {2d}//<Game App>/: App will generate credits based on users completing tasks. Examples may be:
- Wasting a certain amount of time in the app
- Submitting daily nuisances, complaints or issue as diary entrances.
- Completing checklists designed to congratulate users on daily activities like doing laundry.

{3a}//<Behind the Paywall>/: After completing the tasks in the App and accumulating enough credits users can gain access to the paywall. Within the pay wall will be a forum like format that allows users to share their experiences with the piece, contribute their art, ideas & complaints.

The site will also feature art interventions by collaborators and invite users to generate interventions in those art works

{3b}//<Advertisement>/: Advertisements for independent artists works/shows can also be placed. Institutions will be banned or pay high fees to gain access. Institutional Fees can then be paid to independent users of the site

{3c}//<Marketing Emails>/: At the end of each survey from step {2a} or before/after completing activities in from step {2d} users will be asked if they want to subscribe to “marketing emails”. These emails will be sent periodically with messages of support and positivity.
